INFORMATION -

Ram Shej fort is 14 km north of Nashik city. Is at the distance. This is 10 miles away from Dindori near Nashik.   Then he got on his horse and set off. He took 200 Mavals with him and started guarding the fort on his own.  By the time they reached the back of the fort, they had seen Fateh Khan's innings in the dark of night, just as he and his men were sitting on the bastion, watching over the Mughal troops.  One of the two Mughal soldiers reached the shore, as they were about to reach the top, they were caught in the sling of the Mavals and the sling went off, hitting the rock on the head of the Mughal soldier so hard that he was injured and fell down from the fort.  But then all the Mavals ran near the ramparts.  They hurled stones at the advancing Mughals, smashing large boulders on the fort.  Not only that, they set fire to the clothes and bags dipped in oil and threw them at the soldier.  Due to this sudden death, all the Mughal soldiers started crying for their lives.  Some were stoned to death, others burned to death, and the rest of the soldiers jumped off the mountain.  Seeing that, Fateh Khan was standing under the fortAnd his Mughal army began to flee holding hands.  Mavals on the fort rejoiced to see the ganim (enemy) fleeing, and began to shout loudly, - -Har Har Mahadev, Jai Shivaji, Jai Shambhuraje !!!!

 Aurangzeb recalls Fateh Khan.  And sent to Kasam Khan.  Kasam Khan marched on Ramshej with an army of new asthma.  Kasam Khan set up a strong guard around Ramshej fort.  There was no way to go to the fort.  He had blocked all avenues for the delivery of ammunition and food grains to the fort.  Sardar Rupji Bhosale, sent by Sambhaji Maharaj on a few kosas from the fort, was ready with Manaji More supplies.  But they could not deliver supplies to the fort through Kasamkhan's tight security and tight security.  The food on the fort was running out.  Bad days had come to the Mavals on the fort, everyone was suffering from food shortages.  Seeing this situation, it was thought that the fort would fall into the hands of Kasamkhan in 4 to 5 days.  But nature came to the aid of the Marathas.  It rained heavily.  It was raining for 2 days in a row.  The rains had caused mud and water in all parts of the fort.  On one side of the fort, the flesh of dead animals began to rot due to mud water.  So there was a lot of stench everywhere.  He could not stand the smell.  The smell made people and animals vomit.  It became very difficult to guard the Mughal troops.  Then Kasamkhana loosened the guard around the area.  He asked the soldiers to guard the area for one day.  It was day, it was night.  Even at night.  The next morning the guards were reinstated.  At that moment, Kasamkhana looked at the fort and noticed that it was on the fortMavale looked fresh, his life was alive.  Not only that, there were some new Mavals.  Kasam Khan went crazy.  Then he realized his mistake.  The night before, he had reduced the guards due to the stench. Taking advantage of this, the army of Rupji and Manaji, who had been sitting on the ground, had brought new supplies, food grains and ammunition to the fort.  Kasamkhana realized that capturing Ramshej would be just a dream.  During the day the Marathas used to attack the Mughals from the fort and at night the army sent by the Sambhaji kings used to attack the Mughals.  There were sudden attacks on the besieged army from the surrounding bushes.  The Mughals were released on the run.  Kasamkhan also could not conquer the fort.  This fort was fought by the Marathas for five and a half years.  And Ramshej remained undefeated till the end.  }}..

 ABOUT THE TREK -

corona was spread all over the country, then all the playgrounds, shops, businesses were all closed. To increase our physical capacity, we decided to go cycling and trekking. When I came out on Thursday evening, a friend of mine, Aditya, surve came with a cycle  and told me that we had to go somewhere. Then we decided that we would go to Ramshej fort .

Then we set off on the road to Ramshej fort. When we reach peth road, there is a chamar caves on the right side. Going further we  can see the huge appearance of Ramshej fort. At half past five we reached the base of the fort.

Then we started climbing Ramshej fort. 

In just fifteen minutes we reached the fort. On reaching the top there are three caves on the right side. The first of these caves has an amazing temple of Lord Shriram and goddess sita. There is a water tank in the cave next to it . after going up the building's in Nashik city were looked very small . We were proud to see the saffron flag on the fort. 

Going further there was the idol of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Then we worshiped the idol of maharaj three times.

Then we came to the back off Ramshej fort. From there borgad and dehergad forts clearly visible.

There were many water tanks on the fort. The water in those water tanks was very clean. I wanted to jump into the water tanks but I controlled myself.

we then went into the basement of the fort. There was water In that basement too.

We then toured the entire Ramshej fort. We came back at half past six and sat down. After that we were watching sunset from their.

there was a baba lives on fort and his name is 'BABASHEJ'.

baba told us the complete history and information about the fort .he explained to us how how Ramshej fort remained undefeated. Hearing this made us feel even more proud about the fort hearing about the bravery of marathi Mavals on Ramshej fort,many thoughts were coming to our minds. The fort remained undefeated for six years when there was no artillery on the fort. He said that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj also lived on this fort. After that we took baba's blessing and proceeded from there. Then we started to go down from the fort at seven o'clock.

We bet each other one who gets off the fort first. We both ran very fast, but in the end we both reached the bottom of the fort toghether. In just seven minutes we were at the base of the fort. We then get off our bicycles and headed home. Then we reached back to peth road, at half past seven we reached the colony. And then the first trek in lock down came to an end.
